Why Birch Tree Counseling?
The birch tree is often seen as a symbol of new beginnings, resilience, and growth. It’s one of the first trees to grow back after fire or harsh conditions. It reminds us that even after seasons of hardship, something new can take root.
At Birch Tree Counseling, this image reflects what I hope to offer: a space where your story is held with care, where old wounds can begin to soften, and where you can gently move towards growth, wholeness, and new life.
Where vulnerability is met with safety
Reaching out for support—especially around things like sexuality, trauma, or life transitions—can feel incredibly vulnerable. Whether you’re carrying sexual shame, navigating the impact of trauma, processing betrayal, struggling with intimacy, or trying to find your footing in a new phase of life, I want you to know you don’t have to do it alone.
I specialize in walking with people through the tender and often hidden parts of their story. My goal is to offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can speak freely and begin to reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have felt silenced or stuck.
Walking with you into wholeness
I’m trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful, evidence-based approach for trauma and emotional healing. I am also an Associate Partner Trauma Therapist (APTT) candidate with the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals, reflecting advanced training in trauma-informed care and relational healing. I also work as a Sex Therapy Associate (STA) under consultation with the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists. This means I integrate clinical expertise with a compassionate understanding of the spiritual and emotional layers that often surround sexual concerns.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about honoring your resilience, making room for what’s been buried, and helping you move toward greater wholeness, pleasure, and peace.
If you’re ready to begin—or even just curious—I’d be honored to hold that space with you.
